THE SUMMER PLACE HOUSE RULES
1. Check-in time
Check-in time is 14:00 hours and check out time is 12.00 noon unless prior arrangement for extension is agreed with Management..
2. Settlement of bills
Accommodation and food bills must be paid for before arrival. Bills for other costs incurred whilst at the lodge should be settled before departure.
3. Meals
We do not serve or allow any pork products. All meals are served in the dining room or lounge or outside. Room meals are only served if one is not feeling well.
4. Meals are served at the pleasure and time wanted by guests. Our staff do all the cooking, serving and cleaning at no extra cost. Guests are left to enjoy their holiday.
5. Please let us know if you have any dietary needs or restrictions in advance, we will try to accommodate you as much as possible.
6. Room Cleaning, bath towels and bed linen
The rooms are cleaned daily between 11.00am and 1.00pm. Bath towels and bed linen are changed every 2 days. Please inform our staff if you need extra towels or bed linen.
Not allowed
7. It is not allowed to wash and dry clothes in the room. For a reasonable amount we offer laundry service. Check with our laundry check list in the rooms or consult our staff at your service.
8. We are a healthful living holiday facility. Smoking is therefore strictly prohibited both in the rooms and the Summer Place premises which is a smoke free zone.
9. Consumption or use of drugs and alcohol is strictly prohibited in the lodge and its premises.
10. Prostitution, homosexuality and any other unhealthy activities prohibited by the law of God are strictly forbidden in the lodge and its premises.
11. Guests have to respect the decoration of the room. We don’t allow furniture or other decorative items to be removed from rooms or walls where they are hanged.
12. Animals are not allowed in the lodge or its premises.
13. Please respect the natural beauty of the environment by not picking or breaking flowers. Children are not allowed to play in flower gardens. There is a well equipped children play center. Our staff will show and assist you. The lodge does not take any responsibility for the use of play equipment. Parents or guardians should look after their children as it is their sole responsibility should anything happens.
14. Careless and irresponsible throwing away of liter is not allowed. We need to keep the premises and the environment clean and beautiful.
14. Damages
Please inform us of any damaged item so that we can attend to them. Willful or serious damages to property will be charged.
15. Liability for personal belongings and items of value
Whilst we responsibly and honestly look after our clients and their property, we disclaim any liability for personal items, belongings and valuables left anywhere within our premises. However, we strive to maintain a safe and secure environment where ordinarily your valuables should be reasonably protected. A safe is available for safe keeping of your small valuable items should you want them locked up. Our staff will help you look after your property at all times, but remember that it is your primary responsibility. Your cars should be locked at all times for security reasons. However, all cars will be looked after by our security guard at night and there is nothing to fear if they are locked. The gate normally stays locked for security reasons. We are not a walk-in holiday facility. Access is by prior booking or arrangement.
16. We accept no responsibility for any loss, accident, personal injury, medical expenses or property damage caused by your personal negligence or by any other circumstances beyond our control.
17. We would be happy if you wrote something into the guest book before departure. If you were satisfied with your stay in our lodge then let your friends know. If you were not satisfied then let us know so that we can improve our accommodation. Send us an email on charityzembe@zol.co.zw with your comments and photos you allow us to upload on our website for sweet memories.
18. For every 10 bed nights you use or refer your friends, you will be credited with one (1) free bed night with complementary breakfast. We keep an accurate record of all our guests and their stay with us. If you refer anyone please let us know so that we can credit you with bonus points. A bed night is equivalent to a single day booking of the whole lodge or five (5) bedrooms.THE MANAGEMENT OF THE SUMMER PLACE LODGE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADD, ALTER OR AMEND ANY OF THE ABOVE TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RULES WITHOUT NOTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAWS AND REGULATIONS OF ZIMBABWE, AS WELL AS IN THE INTEREST OF CUSTOMERS’ SECURITY, COMFORT AND PLEASURE.
